On Saturday, we’ll have a catered picnic dinner at private Mary McCallum Park on the banks of the Deschutes River, surrounded by majestic snow-capped mountains. (Price per person TBD).

Golf: Sunriver boasts four golf courses – something for every taste. Situated along the meandering Sun River, with expansive views and a deliberate use of directional and fore-bunkers, the Meadows course creates challenging play for golfers of all skill levels. The Woodlands par 72 course, is more challenging, punctuated by forests of Ponderosa and Lodgepole pines, outcroppings of lava rock, views of Mt. Bachelor and abundant water features. Crosswater is a private course (open to Sunriver Resort guests) situated along the Deschutes River and named one of Golf Digest’s greatest American courses. Nine-hole Caldera Links (open to Sunriver Resort guests) offers an approachable, family-friendly golf experience. Golf and Stay packages available at Sunriver Resort. COPA will arrange tee times at Meadows or Woodlands courses. Other courses can be booked through the Resort for resort guests.
Biking: Over 40 miles of paved bike paths let cyclists of all abilities explore the forested community of Sunriver. Lava Lands Visitor Center is a 5.5 mile bike ride on paved paths. The new Sunriver Trails area offers 14 miles of dirt and gravel paths for mountain biking. Local bike shops rent every conceivable kind of bicycle and accessory, including toddler trailers, tandem and recumbent bikes, and mountain bikes.
Hiking: Sunriver is the perfect jumping-off spot to explore nearby trails. Alpine lakes, majestic Ponderosa pines, breathtaking waterfalls, ancient lava flows and marvelous mountain views await hikers of every skill level. Sunriver itself has 40+ miles of paved paths, as well as direct access to the wilder Sunriver Trail system (also open to mountain bikes). Newberry National Volcanic Monument, Lava River Cave and Paulina Lake are short drives.
Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory: Explore nature, from the forest floor to the sky. Learn about Oregon wildlife with displays of live snakes, lizards, frogs and salamanders. Visit with live owls, hawks and an eagle. Watch otters and swans in Lake Aspen. Spot birds in the meadow. After dark, visit the observatory, home to the largest collection of publicly accessible telescopes in the country, for awe-inspiring views of the night sky. Arts and Shopping: Sunriver Village has a wide array of boutiques and shops, including an independent bookstore, a coffee shop, a flyfishing shop, a brewery, restaurants, a bakery, fashion and home boutiques, a grocery store, sports stores and an ice cream parlor.
Sage Springs Club & Spa: Sage Springs Spa encapsulates the spirit of the high desert with its warm ambiance, signature services and indigenous products. Indoor and outdoor pickleball and tennis courts and a fitness room are available to Sunriver Resort guests.
