Event End: Saturday, September 10, 2022  •  All Day

Location: Shelter Cove, CA

Region: Southwest United States Region

Shelter Cove is a fabulous day trip or overnight and September usually features clear skies on most days. It’s home to a remote black sand beach that stretches for over 20 miles. It is part of the King Range National Conservation Area.

The Gyppo Ale Mill serves great food and has the distinction of being California’s most remote brewery.

You can also spend the weekend at one of the Inns and BnBs situated around the airport. 3 No rental car needed.

Shelter Cove is a daytime airport with no instrument approach and no weather reporting so use these webcams 1 to get an idea of what you are facing.  It is possible to depart IFR if needed.
