I'm a 9,800-hour pilot, with more than a third of that spent in primary & advanced instruction, including several hundred hours in both SR-20s and -22s. I've never completed CSIP certification (there's never been an authorized flight center in my area, until just in the past few weeks & they're not hiring instructors)...
I need to complete my certification for an upcoming project in early 2011. As an alternative to simply flying up to Minnesota, renting an airplane, and completing the training on my own... I'm exploring the option of partnering with a Cirrus owner to exchange my services in training & mentoring for sponsorship in CSIP certification.
