I’m wondering if the CPPP event in Spokane in September will include the GTN 650 courses.
It really depends how many GTN owners register. If you’re the only one, then probably not. The IFDs and GTNs just don’t have the numbers yet to hold a full schedule of courses. If we can get 10 GTN pilots to register, then we can probably make something work.
“Planning” to attend doesn’t count - only actual registrations. We get “I’m planning to attend” then they don’t so only actual registrations determine the inclusion of either IFD or GTN courses.
You should confirm with Sherri, but I think there may be some GTN courses next weekend in Chicago.
I have found that the most effective way at a CPPP to become proficient with the GTN, or IFD, is to register for ground plus one flight. We will pair you with a CSIP with extensive GTN experience and you can enjoy the rest of the ground program. Spokane is a very nice event and we are looking forward to our return in September and hope to see you there.
