Saturday morning, June 15, we will fly to EHLE, Lelystad, NE of Amsterdam. This airport is at 12ft MSL on reclaimed land from the former “South Sea”.
After a quick lunch, we will be briefed on the transformation of this airport from largest GA airport in the Netherlands to an airport for charter flights mainly to and from holiday destinations in the Mediterrenean area. As a result of this, the already complicated airspace structure around Amsterdam Schiphol airport had to be redesigned.
In late afternoon a bus will bring us to Amsterdam where dinner will be served and we are free to spend our evening and night at our own discretion. The following morning a bus will bring us back to Lelystad. Then we can either fly home directly or choose to make a sight seeing trip over the flat Netherlands territory first.
Please block your agendas now and make a pre reservation for this unique event, so we can have an idea of how many people we may expect.
