Is this a Western Skyways overhaul or did they just do the AD's?
In 2015 the overhaul was performed by Signature Engines in Cincinnati Ohio to include Factory New Cylinders.
The engine is currently at Western Skyways (WS) being disassembled, inspected, repaired (any parts that are not to new limits) and then reassembled to include new bearings and cadmium plated hardware. BTW, WS will balance the Rod's and Crank to better than new limits as part of what they do for this inspection. WS is also performing all the AD's and SB's to include SB18-08 on the New Continental Cylinders.
The parts that didn't pass the WS inspection are the Starter Adapter shaft gear (not to NIP limits), the Face Gear (chipped tooth) and the Oil Cooler (stripped threads on the temp probe). All items were replace. The Mag's were also replaced with overhauled Bendix units from Air Power in TX.
Western Skyways will perform the Test Cell "run-in" per TCM and provide a full report.
So to answer your question, it's basically a WS engine that will technically still have 112 hours TSMO by Signature.
