“FIRST EVER TOUCH SCREEN SIMULATOR TouchTrainerTM APPROVED BY THE FAA AS A FLIGHT TRAINING DEVICE”
On April 12, FlyThisSim (FTS) announced that their touch screen flight simulator has been approved by the FAA as a Basic Aviation Training Device (B.A.T.D.). The simulator is based on touch screen technology and the TouchTrainerTM is a significant breakthrough in flight simulator design. Touch screens are used to replace most hardware controls with software, enabling lower cost, higher fidelity, and greater versatility. A broad range of aircraft and avionics options can be simulated on a single device, making configuration changes fast and simple. This new technology makes the TouchTrainerTM more affordable for flight schools and individuals. Visit http://www.flythissim.com/touchtrainer.aspx for more details.
Congratulations! what a great milestone for you!
Thanks for your encouragement Jeff, hope to see you at M10.
Any credit for current FTS owners ?
I never got the software to work properly, but logging instrument experience would be great if I can update to an FAA approved Basic Trainer
This is a great BATD! We have one available at KHND. I am training Cirrus & Diamond pilots using the TouchTrainer. Please call if you would like a demo, or training. Hugh Gommel, CSIP, 702-809-9515
