Founded in 2001, with thousands of members worldwide, Cirrus Owners and Pilots Association is a non-profit organization established to promote the safety and enjoyment of flying Cirrus aircraft. COPA is a volunteer-run organization completely independent of Cirrus Aircraft.
All interested individuals are welcome. You don't have to own or fly a Cirrus to join! We especially encourage everyone considering becoming a COPA Pilot or owner to join. Our membership includes pilots with a wide range of experience, and low- and high-time pilots are all well represented. Our membership also includes many Cirrus renter pilots, student pilots, and even non-pilots thinking about learning to fly.
Don't wait to join! You will find COPA membership resources invaluable in familiarizing yourself with Cirrus aircraft, what to look for when shopping for a Cirrus...and what to avoid! The COPA membership is welcoming of newcomers and open to answering your questions on the active COPA forums.

One magazine issue a year focused on safety topics, accident statistics and lessons learned.
Volunteer regional coordinators regularly announce one-day (and sometimes longer) events where COPA members will gather to socialize and meet face-to-face. Venues range from casual airport lunches to formal events held at attractive locations with special talks, tours, and activities.
Each summer hundreds of Cirrus aircraft come together for the event of the year. A weekend of excellent seminars, trade show, and family-friendly socializing awaits. A hugely successful and popular event. (Registration fee.)

“Joining will give you insight into true ownership at much greater depth. I joined COPA, Lancair and Diamond to get a better feel for all these new planes. This forum and the members are - by far - light years ahead of all of them!”

“My initial investment has been more than paid back and above all [COPA] teaches me something about critical decision management, human behavior, flight safety which is priceless as is the comradeship of so many members.”

“COPA is the best thing that ever happened to my aviation skills. I am a better, safer, and more knowledgeable pilot than guys with 4x my total time thanks to COPA.”
"I joined COPA right after I started my PPL training, and I can't even begin to gauge how much knowledge I have obtained through the forums. My goal is learn something new about aviation every day. That's pretty easy to do on these forums."
