Anybody replaced the old-style original Lamar MCU with the new / improved model?

If-so, do you still have the old (presumably malfunctioning) one?

And double if-so, would you consider selling/renting/lending the unit (or a couple parts) for some problem solving?

I suspect an issue is developing in one of two Function Modules in my MCU:  Lamar FM03 and/or Lamar FM02-1.  I am unable to solve a suspected gremlin without a test swap-out.  Yet, of course, I can't "buy-and-try"  (I must "buy and own it, needed or not").  These are the rectangular boxes at the 3-o'clock and the 6-o'clock positions in the above picture.

If you might wish to help, call or e-mail or post!

Randy,

Lamar will rebuild these units.  I just had trouble with my MCU this week, and Jim Barker had a fix which was a couple thousand dollars cheaper than Cirrus suggestion to replace the unit.

Call Jim, or call me, and I can pass along the education I have gained this week :)

Call Lanmar. They sent me test parts when I had trouble with a short stop fuse. Great CS.

Thanks Tom and Alexander!

Never would have guessed they'd send out a test part to figure out what-solves-what! That might work out to help either clarify or solve my puzzle.

Tom, I'll give you a ring after office hours or the weekend; or ring me 402-540-3335 between patients (I'm off today).
