&lt;p&gt;I have to pick Roger (Whittier SR 22 s/n 0009) up in St Louis....but I have to get out an aircraft this morning....and leave by 1000 hrs Central to reach Roger&amp;#39;s flight....&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Dave picks up his SR22...I go home, pack clothes and blast off around 1050...in the van....600 miles to go!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The drive was uneventful.....except I thought the headlight on the left side was a little dim......&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I arrived with 30 mins to spare at the cell phone lot, checked the left bulb, sure enough....in-flight failure.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Roger text&amp;#39;s me..Southwest is early! great! I find him on the curb, satchel in hand, ready for work....&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Hotel now, will start bright and early on a 22T...&lt;/p&gt;

owners I have
once again a good story to tell and hopefully we can all benefit.&amp;nbsp; This one starts with a prop
balance.&amp;nbsp; I traveled to the clients home base and performed the
routine service.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; We calculated the balance down to
the &amp;#39;gazinth&amp;#39; of a gram and I proceded on my way home.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Several days later I
received a phone call,&amp;nbsp; the
client reported about his last flight.&amp;nbsp; I wouldn&amp;#39;t say this was an eventful flight
but it wasn&amp;#39;t &amp;quot;eventless&amp;quot;.&amp;nbsp; On climb out the MFD was indicating&amp;nbsp; high EGT and CHT temperatures on the #6 cylinder, he landed and had maintenance examine the problem.&amp;nbsp; ( Discovering a cracked fine wire spark plug).&amp;nbsp; I asked him to also send me
the Emax download.(see below figure 1).&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Here is what the pilot of the
SR-20 had to say and I quote &amp;quot; I would have pulled back power much sooner,
however due to the history of erratic indications I second guessed the
situation and delayed my first instinct.&amp;quot; &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The flight in question...with calculated peak temps for the #6 cylinder...note the #5 is also climbing....&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Remember my New Years Eve flight in Duluth?&amp;nbsp; The pilot did not
believe his instrumentation...(and with good cause)...sensor connectors
have been shown unreliable.... to the point of pilots discrediting REAL
PROBLEMS.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;When you don&amp;#39;t trust the data presented, make the system reliable....act on the results as &amp;quot;true&amp;quot; until proven &amp;quot;false&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;
