Alaska Trip 2010 - Last Minute Opening and Discount

We have had a last minute cancellation on our Alaska trip and due to the deposit given we're able to offer a 40% discount on anybody wanting to fill the spot.

We'll all meet up in Seattle on afternoon of the 11th and do a tour of the Boeing Museum of Flight with a special guided tour of the Cirrus Exhibit there.  Then we'll bring you all to the Edgewater Hotel, one of the most famous hotels in Seattle located right on the water and looking out across Elliott Bay.  Dinner will be held that evening where we'll all get to know each other and enjoy some local cuisine.

The next morning we start our adventure and head north to Ketichikan and then on to Juneau.  The views along the Inside Passage and along the west coast of Canada are second to none... until you we get to Alaska, that is.  Once we've fueled up in Ketchikan (only about 3 1/2 hours from Seattle), then we'll do a low altitude scenic tour for an hour and a half on our way to Juneau.

The next morning we'll go kayaking by glaciers before heading out for more aerial sight seeing and whale spotting.  Humpback whales are pretty common in the areas we'll be touring and we normally spot 4 or 5 per hour.  We'll then arrive at the airport in Craig, close to where the fishing lodge is.  That evening we'll enjoy the best cooking in the region courtesy our own chef at the lodge along with games and conversation.

The next morning we'll break into groups and go out fishing for King Salmon, Halibut, and Cod.  The guides know exactly where to go - don't worry if you have never fished a day in your life: they'll talk you through it and even bait your line for you!

The lodge will fillet and flash-freeze your catch so you can either ship or fly it home yourself.  The next morning we'll head home with pictures and memories suitable to be called the adventure of a lifetime.  We have a lot of pictures in our gallery located here:

But here are a few more!

Give us a call or email if you think you'd like to come along.  Like I said, the discount is pretty extreme - you won't find a better deal.  If you'd like to rent one of our planes for the trip, let us know and we can set it up.  Email: info@theflightacademy.com or call (206) 219-3720

Safe flying!
