We took a group of Cirrus owners and pilots on our 5th annual trip up to southeast Alaska 2 weeks ago and had a blast!
I airlined out to Philadelphia to pick up a couple of fellows and show them some sights on the way out to Seattle. We stopped in scenic Indiana, hopped over to South Dakota to see my Mom, flew around Mt. Rushmore, did a little formation flying, stayed in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and got a nice tour of Yellowstone. The arrival into Seattle was beautiful with a smattering of clouds hugging the hills and a comfortable 70 degree afternoon.
Here we are somewhere over Wyoming.

Mom and I:

I was fortunate in that we had an excellent photographer along to capture some of our exploits. Thanks, Dan!
Here's a shot of some glaciers in SE Alaska, just north of Juneau.

We did a little formation flying with those who had instructors aboard:

This one's for the calendar:

We saw quite a lot of wild life up there. Here's a humpback whale finishing its most recent bout of frolicking:

Once we got down and started fishing, there were quite a few bites. I think it took Kevin 2 or 3 hours to land this beauty:

A great time was had by all. Here's a farewell shot from some of our crew after finishing their kayak tour:

We're going to move the date for next year's trip up a little to June 16th through the 19th. If you'd like to come along with us and see some of the most amazing sights possible from your Cirrus' window, give us a call. We'll have instructors to fly with everybody so you won't have to worry about knowing where to go or what to do.
Safe flying!
